What we keep, why, where it lives, and how to remove it. There is no advertising network on this site and no third-party tracker.

Who we are

Inkbun is an Australian business (ABN 31 908 355 683) based in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. We decide what is collected here and why, which makes us responsible for it — the “controller”, in the GDPR’s word. Questions about anything on this page go to support@inkbun.com.

What we keep

  • Your account — the email address you sign in with, the name and picture Google gives us if you sign in that way, and the country, language and paper size you chose.
  • Your designs — the arrangements you make, the images they use, and the thumbnails we bake for your library. Stored so you can open them on another device.
  • Your licenses and orders — what you took, when, and how many times you have downloaded it. This is what the 90-day window and the download count are counted from.
  • What you write to us — if you email us, the conversation, so we can answer it.

What stays in your browser

Some things never reach us unless you sign in. Your browser keeps them in its own storage, on your device:

  • Local storage — your cart and favorites, whether you were browsing the color or the coloring shelf, the artwork you used recently, the designs you make before signing in (and their bin), and editor presets such as saved names and colors.
  • IndexedDB — the images, patterns and fonts you upload into the editor, and the images you use in product mockups.

When you sign in, your guest designs, templates and favorites are copied into your account so they follow you to other devices. The copies in your browser stay where they are; clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes them.

The camera try-on

Trying a hat or crown on with your camera happens entirely on your device. The video is not uploaded, recorded or stored, and a photo you save goes to your device, not to us. Your browser asks before the camera turns on, and you can withdraw that permission in your browser at any time. All we remember is that you have seen the camera notice, so it is not shown every time (see Cookies).

Cookies

Two, both necessary — which is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

NameWhat it doesHow long

Two more exist only for Inkbun staff, to see the shop the way a customer does (inkbun.viewAs and inkbun.previewSkin, 30 days). Shoppers never receive them.

Your country

Our host tells us which country a visit comes from, worked out from its IP address. We use it to pick a sensible language, paper size — A4 or US Letter — and currency before you have chosen them. We don’t store your IP address, and the country isn’t stored either unless you choose one yourself.

Analytics

None, today. The site has hooks for counting things like which shelves get looked at, which searches come back empty, how far people get through checkout and how often the camera try-on is used — but on the live site those hooks send nothing anywhere. If we connect an analytics service, this page will name it first, and the rule the events are built around will not change: an event never carries an email address, a name, or anything you typed onto a design.

Why we use it

  • Your account, designs and licenses — to provide what you signed up for or bought: the contract between us.
  • Keeping the site working and secure, and remembering your preferences — our legitimate interest in a site that works, which these uses do not override yours in.
  • The camera — your consent, which your browser asks for and you can withdraw.

We do not sell any of it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it

A few companies run parts of the site for us. They handle your data on our behalf, and only for that:

  • Supabase — stores the database and your files.
  • Vercel — hosts and serves the site.
  • Google — sees your sign-in, if you choose to sign in with Google.

That is the whole list. Our fonts are served from our own site, not from Google Fonts.

Where it is stored

Vercel serves the site from data centers around the world, many of them in the United States, and Supabase keeps our database in the United States (its US East region). Where your data leaves the UK or the EEA, it goes under the data-protection terms those providers sign with us, which include the standard contractual clauses the law requires.

How long we keep it

  • Your account, designs and licenses — for as long as you have the account.
  • A design you delete — in your bin for 30 days, then it is removed.
  • What you write to us — for as long as we need it to answer you.

Deleting everything

Your account pagehas a delete control. It removes your profile, your designs, your licenses and every file you have stored with us, and it cannot be undone. You do not have to write to anyone or wait for us to act. It cannot reach into your browser: what is kept there stays until you clear this site’s data.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or the UK, you have the right to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to take a copy with you, to have it erased, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Most of that is on your account page already; for anything it does not cover, write to support@inkbun.com and we will answer within a month.

If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information, in the sense California’s law gives those words.

If you think we have got something wrong, you can complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the ICO; in the EU, the authority where you live. We would rather you wrote to us first.

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you by automated means — no profiling, no automatic refusals.

Children

Inkbun is not for children under 16 (13 where that is the threshold). We do not knowingly keep data about anyone younger; if you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.

Do Not Track

We do not track you across sites, so a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing to switch off here.

Changes to this policy

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects what we do with data we already hold, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
